# What You Need:

→ Herb Cream Cheese

01 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
02 - 2 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
03 - 1 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
04 - 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
05 - 1 tsp lemon juice
06 - 1/4 tsp garlic powder
07 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Sandwiches

08 - 1 English cucumber, thinly sliced
09 - 12 slices white sandwich bread, crusts removed
10 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened (optional)

# How To Make:

01 - Combine cream cheese, chives, dill, parsley, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Blend until completely smooth and herbs are evenly distributed.
02 - Lay out bread slices on a clean work surface. If using butter, spread a thin layer on each slice to create a moisture barrier and prevent sogginess.
03 - Divide herb cream cheese mixture evenly among all bread slices. Spread to edges in a thin, uniform layer ensuring full coverage.
04 - Arrange cucumber slices over half the prepared bread slices, overlapping slightly for even coverage. Season cucumbers lightly with salt if desired.
05 - Place remaining bread slices cream cheese side down over cucumber layers. Press gently but firmly to adhere layers together.
06 - Trim crusts if still present. Cut each sandwich diagonally into quarters to form triangles, or into rectangles for traditional finger sandwich presentation.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The herb cream cheese comes together in minutes but tastes like you spent much longer on it
  • These are the ultimate make ahead party food that still feels fresh and special
02 -
  • Bread must be completely cooled before spreading or the cheese will melt and make everything soggy
  • Cucumber slices should be paper thin, almost transparent, for the most delicate texture
03 -
  • Use a serrated knife with a gentle sawing motion for the cleanest cuts
  • Pat cucumber slices dry with paper towels before layering to prevent excess moisture
