01 - Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice of sandwich bread until thin and pliable.
02 - Place a slice of ham evenly on each flattened bread slice. Lay a mozzarella stick along one edge.
03 - Roll up tightly from the cheese end, ensuring the ham and bread completely enclose the cheese.
04 - In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs with milk until well combined.
05 - In a separate bowl, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, oregano, pepper, and salt.
06 - Dip each roll first in the egg wash, then coat thoroughly with the seasoned breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
07 - Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F.
08 - Fry the sticks in batches for 2–3 minutes, turning occasionally until golden and crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels.
09 - Let cool for 2 minutes before serving to allow cheese to set slightly.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The crispy exterior gives way to gooey melted cheese in every single bite
  • They come together faster than ordering takeout and taste infinitely better
  • Perfect for everything from after school snacks to unexpected guests
02 -
  • Seal the rolls tightly or cheese will escape into the oil and make a mess
  • Do not overcrowd the pan or the oil temperature will drop and they will get greasy
03 -
  • Freeze uncooked sticks for up to 2 weeks and fry straight from frozen, just add 1 minute
  • Use slightly stale bread, it flattens easier without tearing
